Produced:
January 1st 1913
Over a hundred years old, this film shows the building of the Star Class locomotive 'Prince of Wales' in Brunels GWR Works at Swindon.
This was the height of Empire, and Swindon was at the very cutting edge of this communications technology.
The film is also interesting as, so soon after the birth of Cinematography, it shows how quickly some of its codes and conventions we would recognise today were developing.
