As a tribute to Swindon's acclaimed Hammerman poet, Alfred Williams, Steve Cox plays one of the local folk songs that Alfred collected hereabouts. (From John Lewis of Purton, born 1849 to be exact.) Performed at the Beehive Swindon for Hammerman night - organised by Dave Foster - this one is entitled 'Gentle Jenny Gray' and provides a taste of life in this area more than a century ago.
