Although by now Head of Thames Television, Richard Dunn remained involved as a voluntary Director of Viewpoint and helped in any way he could until his untimely death in the nineties. Clearly Swindon Viewpoint and its philosophy had a special place in his affections, and evidently affected him; during this period he was maintaining Thames TV as the last bastion of public service broadcasting in the ITV system.
