Our Film and video library is extensive, numbering over 1000 items. In partnership with Western Film Archive, we aim to eventually make all of these available online for public viewing in compressed format.
The process of digitisation is slow and time consuming. Many of our original tapes are almost 40 years old, and some on obsolete formats. They need careful handling and conditioning. We aim to strike a balance between new material and archive programmes.
You are welcome to contact us and offer us programmes you think we should show. We will try to prioritise these according to their relevance to Swindon, or when of broader significance, our policy of encouraging debate dialogue and understanding on issues of public importance.
