Probably a longshot, but let's see...
For several months in 1977, premises at the corner of Bridge St. and Fleet St., formerly Burton's, were occupied by a London street trader by the name of Jack Joseph. Swindonians over forty may recall it: the shop windows were entirely plastered with photos showing Mr J in the presence of celebrities such as Jimmy Savile (I believe he'd appeared on Jim'll Fix It, The Generation Game or some other popular TV show of the time).
A certain local DJ by the name of Johnny Daylight made a Swindon Viewpoint programme showing Mr J in action which I'd love to see. The broadcast date would probably be somewhere between August and November 1977. I have no idea of the prog title.
Good hunting!

Thanks Mr H, we love a challenge - if its there we will do our best to find it. We're taking a week off from uploading content after the big push to get the site together but will put a few new things up on the weekend and start digging in the crates again next week sometime.
