To the right of the picture the locomotive is a 'Dukedog' No. 9012, prior to being rebuilt in the 1930's was known as Earl of Ducie. They were rebuilt using Bulldog frames and motion with Duke boilers and cabs. Renumbered in 1946 the whole class in the 90XX series. The GWR gasworks and vertical retort can be seen in the background. This closed in 1959 and the stock sheds followed in 1964.
